Fajr Music Festival chooses ‘Rastak’ ensemble apparel

Iranian music band ‘Rastak’ has grabbed the best apparel title at the latest edition of Fajr International Music Festival.

Rastak was founded in 1997 by Siamak Sepehri. For the past two decades, the ensemble’s experimental work has focused on sonic features of Iranian folklore and diverse cultures.

“The form, design and theme of” the band’s clothes were among the most important criteria for such selection, secretary of Iran Regularization of Fashion and Clothes Working Group was quoted by the media on Monday as saying about the jury’s decision on 'Rastak' band’s apparel.

Hailing the music band’s energy and excitement, Hamid Qobadi noted the band members have created balanced coordination between their music and clothes while performing on stage.

'Rastak' has appeared in several international music festivals, holding many concerts in Iran, England, Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Sweden, The USA, Canada, Australia, India, Japan, Chile, Poland,Turkey, Georgia, Belgium, Oman and Belarus, among others.

The 32 edition of Fajr International Music Festival in Iran was warmly received by Iran music enthusiasts and wrapped up on January 20, 2017.
